The Technische Universität München is one of the largest technical Universities in Europe and one of the leading institutions in the fields of Nuclear Physics, Radiochemistry and Nuclear Medicine in the world.
Significant, recent investments (> Euro 800 Mio.) into the new neutron source „FRM-II“, as well as the connected scientific and industrially accessible nuclear infrastructure at the TUM campus in Garching have created the unique environment necessary for the development and implementation of the commercial production of a variety of scarce radio-isotopes and the development of related products and applied technologies.
In January 2005, the Technische Universität München and ITM AG have signed a long-term collaboration agreement (15 years) bringing the technological and human resources of both parties together. Creating a unique combination of competence, experience and infrastructure towards the realization of their complimentary key objectives – concentrated in the Munich area.
